Trying to figure out an issue with backup an sql server 2008 databases on a remote server.
Below is the erros I am getting. Now I have looked at TECH144230 and TECH69132
which basically says to check to make sure that the logon account has the sysadmin role on the DB which it does. So I am not sure what the next step is.

I need some help with a problem we got last week with our Backup Exec 2014 (Appliance 3600.R3).
One of the job is just stuck at status Active: Discovering Ressources. We let the job run for 5 day withou result. When we tried to cancel the job, the cancel is pending for days without doing anything.

We're in the process of standing up Backup Exec 2014 (came from 2010) and a couple of questions have come up in regards to backing up an exchange server (currently running 2010).
we are using BE2012 backup the VMhost, the backup media server is a very old IBM server(X236) , VM verison is Esxi 5.1.0. VM host is IBM x3650M4,have 3 virtual machines.2 on server internal disk, 1 on a DAS.

Do you know if Windows 2012 is supported on NetBackup 7.0? We have an old backup server running this version and we would like to add some Windows 2012 clients to it. I've made a big research but couldn't find it available. Does anyone knows if Symanted ever released a client for Windows 2012?

I have noticed that the system state backup of all the clients have a differential backup size larger than full backup, is this normal at all?
Anyone know where to find a legend for the icons that are displayed in the BE 2012 Selection Pane? I couldn't find anything in the Admin Guide. I have several different icons that show up.
Got my legend and see that my BE server thinks my RAWS agent on one of my servers needs an update, however, they are both running the same version.

We have a server running Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R3 on a machine running Server 2008 R2 SP1 Enterprise 64-bit. It's been running fine for 3-4 years on our Active Directory domain. Recently we upgraded from Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.5 to SEP 12.1 (we are a non-profit, so these are "not-for-resale" versions purchased through Tech Soup).
After installed sp2 hotfix 227745, we can not backup regularly. always 4-5 server backup jobs running but stuck in active: queued . ı saw requested drive mount when ı look into their joblog that is in Data folder. remove server backup and create agaiın or new backup definition but not stable. please has anyone have any idea???

I'm using a Snapshot then backup strategy (Snap on the primary volume - with expire after copy setting - then a Snapvault to the secondary array with a 4 weeks retention).

I need to edit a backup Job, but a verify Job was running. So I canceled it. Now the verify Job hangs at "Cancel Pending". Does anybody know of a way to force the cancel of any Job?
At the Moment there are around 20 other backup Jobs running, so shutdown the Server or restart any Services isn't an Option.

I'm having the following issue, after NB finish a specific backup, it show me this.
I am running BackupExec 2014 SP2 and was having an issue with the backup stopping while trying to backup a Virtual Server ( Windows 2012 R2 ) that is inside a VMWare 5.5 exi Host. The backup would run fine up until the end and then stop with the error " The connection to the target system has been lost ".
